Notice is given under Rule 18 of the Basketball Victoria Constitution that the 2023 Annual General Meeting of Basketball Victoria will be held:

Attend: Join via video online with online voting in accordance with Rule 19.4 of the Basketball Victoria Constitution – details to register will be supplied
Or: In person at the State Basketball Centre, 291 George Street Wantirna South 3152 – Social Room
All Member Associations and Special Purpose Associations are entitled to send a delegate to the meeting. Voting entitlements are in accordance with Article 20.2 of the Basketball Victoria Constitution.
Notice of Business
Any Member Association or Special Purpose Association wishing to raise matters of business for discussion at the meeting must give written notice of the business to the Chief Executive Officer at least thirty-five (35) days before the meeting. Only the Board or a Member Association or a Special Purpose Association may submit a notice of motion.
Notice of business received after 5.00pm on 26 April 2023 will not be considered.
Board Director Vacancies
Basketball Victoria (BV) is the governing body for basketball in the Australian state of Victoria. It promotes, develops, and regulates the sport at all levels in Victoria, from grassroots to elite competition, and aims to support a diverse and inclusive basketball community.
We are seeking applications for two Elected Director positions. These are voluntary positions. To be eligible for election to the Basketball Victoria Board as an Elected Director, candidates must receive a nomination by an authorised Member Association of Basketball Victoria. Elections will be held at the Annual General Meeting on 31 May 2023.
Particular areas of expertise being sought include; marketing / brand, accounting / finance, and/or experience in the sport of basketball (e.g., as a player, coach or official).

Nominations for the positions of two (2) Elected Directors of the Board for three (3) year terms must be lodged on the form included in this message and be received by the Chief Executive Officer at least thirty-five (35) days before the meeting.
Nominations received after 5.00pm on 26 April 2023 will not be considered (Rule 23.2).
Agenda and Business will be issued on 3 May 2023 in accordance with Rule 18 (d).
