Basketball Victoria works alongside our associations and clubs to offer All Abilities (players with an intellectual disability) and wheelchair basketball programs, competitions and tournaments.
Basketball Victoria strongly believes in giving an opportunity for Victorians of all abilities to easily access and participate within our sport across the state across all abilities within the community.
By running All Abilities and wheelchair basketball programs at your association or club, you’re expanding your community and giving Victorians a chance to shine in our sport in an accessible format.
For more information regarding All Abilities at your club or association, contact Sheena Atkin.
Inclusion Training Workshops
The Inclusion Training Workshop is a 2-hour workshop that covers best practice when working with people with disabilities and teaches how to adapt training sessions to make them suitable for participants of all abilities and backgrounds.
It consists of a 1-hour presentation and 1 hour on court component. This workshop is free for affiliated associations and clubs, can be run with your association or club and can be run for small or large groups.
Training is also available to organisations and groups outside the Basketball Victoria membership for a fee.
