Victorian teams excelled on the final day of the Kumon National Junior Classic, winning seven of the eight divisions.
With the elite 128-team tournament held across the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, the best and brightest were whittled down to the grand finalists with bumper crowds cheering on the favourite teams at the State Basketball Centre and Dandenong Basketball Stadium.
Nunawading stormed home to cap off an exceptional Kumon National Junior Classic, winning three of the eight titles in the Under-14 Boys, Under-14 Girls and Under-18 Boys.
Casey recorded its first ever tournament victory at the Classic taking out the Under-12 Boys tournament, while Kilsyth (Under-12 Girls), Hawthorn (Under-16 Boys), West Adelaide (Under-16 Girls) and Bulleen (Under-18 Girls) rounded out the winners across the event.
