Every year during the Kings’s Birthday long weekend, Basketball Victoria invites elite Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 teams from across Victoria and Australia to compete in the National Junior Classic tournament.
This year's tournament is 8-10 June 2024.
The best 128 teams (both boys and girls) from across Australia compete in the tournament, with teams from Metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria able to qualify while interstate teams from New South Wales, Canberra, Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and New Zealand all able to nominate and qualify.
Teams are selected based on their ability to compete within the tournament and based on previous tournament or competition results within the team’s home state.
Livestreams
If you can't make it to the Classic, there will be six courts livestreamed throughout the weekend, three each at Dandenong Basketball Stadium and the State Basketball Centre!
