The 2026 Junior 3XTour is back and it’s bigger, more flexible and more accessible than ever.
Built to better align with the elite-level FIBA 3x3 World Tour format, the relaunched 3XTour gives Victorian junior players the chance to experience 3x3 basketball the way it was designed to be played, fast, competitive and completely player-driven.
Whether you want to team up with your school friends, association teammates or create your own dream squad from across Victoria, the choice is yours. No restrictions. No locked-in pathways. Just your team, your way.
The 3XTour remains Basketball Victoria’s premier junior 3x3 circuit, with players competing across multiple tour stops throughout the season to earn individual FIBA ranking points and build their Team Tour Ranking in pursuit of qualification for the prestigious Tour Final.
Importantly, the updated format has been designed to make the competition more accessible for everyone, with flexible participation options and the introduction of Division 1 and Division 2 competitions across every age group to ensure strong, competitive games for all skill levels.
Teams can choose to play all five tour stops or simply select the events that suit their schedule best, making it easier than ever for players to get involved in the growing 3x3 pathway.
The 2026 tour will run from mid-June through to mid-August, with events taking place across metropolitan and regional Victoria, including stops in Eltham, Ballarat, Knox, Altona, Dandenong, Nunawading, Melbourne and Diamond Valley.
Basketball Victoria 3X3 & Masters Coordinator Sid Yellepeddi said the refreshed format is all about creating more opportunities for young players to experience the energy and excitement of 3x3 basketball in a way that works for them.
“3x3 continues to grow around the world and we’re really excited to relaunch the Junior 3XTour in a way that better reflects the international game and gives Victorian players more freedom and flexibility to get involved,” Yellepeddi said.
“One of the biggest changes is that players can now create their own teams however they like. Whether that’s with school friends, association teammates or players from different areas, we wanted to make the tour as accessible and enjoyable as possible while still providing a genuine pathway into elite 3x3 basketball.”
“We’re also excited to introduce Division 1 and Division 2 competitions across every age group to help ensure a strong experience for all teams and skill levels. We can’t wait to see the energy and atmosphere across the tour this year.”
Age groups for 2026 include:
- U13 Boys & Girls (born 2014–2016)
- U15 Boys & Girls (born 2012–2013)
- U17 Boys & Girls (born 2010–2011)
Teams can register with between four and six players, including reserve players, and every team will nominate a team manager to oversee registrations and communication throughout the tour.
Basketball Victoria is encouraging players, parents, coaches and friends to start building their squads now, with registrations officially open for the 2026 3XTour series.
With limited spots available at each stop, players are encouraged to secure their place early and be part of one of the most exciting junior basketball experiences on the Victorian calendar.
