The Junior Country Championships delivered another incredible weekend of basketball, showcasing talent, determination, and some unforgettable moments. With teams battling it out across multiple divisions, we saw thrilling grand finals, redemption stories, and underdogs rising to the occasion.

Highlights & Memorable Moments
Overtime Thriller in U18 Boys Division 1. The Ballarat vs. Macedon Ranges Grand Final delivered a nail-biting overtime showdown, making for the perfect championship finale.
A Grand Final Rematch with a Twist. This same matchup was seen in the U16 Division 1 Grand Final back in 2023, where Macedon Ranges took the title. This time, Ballarat turned the tables, securing their revenge and the U18 Division 1 crown.
The Portland U18 Girls pulled off an incredible underdog run, climbing from a 21st ranking all the way to the Division 2 championship. Their final game drew a massive crowd, creating an electric atmosphere in the stadium.
The U16/18 Division 1 & 2, 2025 Junior Country Championships were a true celebration of basketball, passion, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to all the teams, and we can’t wait to see what next year brings!
The next JCC tournament will be held on the 15th & 16th March with the U16 & U18 Divisions 3, 4 & 5 for boys and girls.
