Melbourne, Victoria - Basketball Victoria is proud to announce the athletes that have been selected for the 2026 Junior Wheelchair State Team. They will compete against the best across Australia at the Foot Locker Under 18 and National Junior Wheelchair Championships, which will be held in Brisbane, Sunday 12th – Sunday 19th April, 2026.
The selected athletes are:

- Jude Ford
- Jackson Gray
- Remy Grogan
- Rhys Higgins
- Ariella Riepsam
- Jack Thomas
- Oliver Yaxley
Emergency Athletes
- Stella Hemingway
- Charlie Kennedy
The team comprises of experienced and emerging talent, including six debutants named in the final team. Freya Elliott, Jude Ford, Jackson Gray, Remy Grogan, Ariella Riepsam and Oliver Yaxley will all make their Victorian debut, this highlights the continued growth and depth of our junior wheelchair basketball pathway.
Basketball Victoria General Manager - Pathways, Dom Linossier said the selected squad reflects the strength of Victoria’s development programs. “We are thrilled with the group of athletes selected to represent Victoria at the 2026 Foot Locker National Junior Wheelchair Championships. It is powerful to see the development of our athletes as a number of them have come through the State Development Program, competed in the Victorian Wheelchair Basketball League (VWBL), now progressing into state team selection. We are excited to see the group deliver on the national stage under the leadership of Coach Lauren Robinson and her staff.”
