The Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Canberra conducted the 2024 National Performance Camp from January 22-25, 2024.
The camp is a live-in camp for young men and women, who have been identified by Basketball Australia talent recruitment team. The camp offers athletes the opportunity to experience elite training sessions with athletes from across the country, under the watchful guidance of the men and women’s head coaches from the CoE, the sessions include on court skills, strength and conditioning and recovery education plus experiencing the atmosphere and life living at the CoE.
The camp also offers coaches (who have been handpicked by Basketball Australia) the opportunity for professional development as they work with the best coaches in Australia.
Grant Wallace, General Manager High Performance Basketball Victoria is proud of the Victorians that are represented at the camp. "It’s great to see so many young Victorian athletes being selected to be a part of the NPC. They have all worked hard and their talent recognised to be a part of such an elite camp. We are proud that the depth of talent across Victoria is evident. They have all worked hard to get there, and have been rewarded. I know they will learn a lot and bring their new skills back to Victorian basketball" he said.
Victorian Basketball was represented with several of our High Performance coaches, athletes and team managers/ camp managers being selected.
