Basketball Victoria is excited to announce the appointment of Jacqui Dover as the Technical Officials Elite Development Officer for NBL1 South.
Jacqui is a highly respected and experienced referee, known for her passion for the game and her commitment to developing the next generation of officials. As a proud Kunja woman, Jacqui is a trailblazer in the basketball officiating community, having made history as the first Indigenous female referee to officiate in the NBL. Jacqui's extensive experience includes officiating in the WNBL, NBL, and obtaining her FIBA accreditation.
In her new role as the NBL1 Technical Officials Elite Development Officer, Jacqui will be responsible for overseeing the development of referees in the NBL1 South competition. She will work closely with referees to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, provide tailored training and mentorship, and create opportunities for them to officiate at the highest level.
We are confident that Jacqui will make a significant impact on the development of referees in the NBL1 and beyond. Jacqui will commence her role in February 2025 and will based at the State Basketball Centre in Victoria.
