Basketball Victoria and the State Coaching Staff would like to invite athletes to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Ivor Burge State Mens and Womens Teams.
The Ivor Burge Championships are the National Basketball Championships for athletes with an Intellectual Disability (A participant’s eligibility is based on an Intelligence Quotient (IQ) of 75 or below). You will need to have completed appropriate IQ testing and have an Ausrapid Number.
Athletes selected into the state team will compete for the Ivor Burge Cup at the National Championship in February 2024 (date and venue TBC).
The Ivor Burge program replicates the Under 20 program, whereby there will be no separate Country or Metropolitan Teams. The Ivor Burge Victoria Mens and Womens teams will comprise of the best players across Victoria. All eligible athletes are invited to register their interest, however only a limited number of places will be available and selected to attend the try-outs.

When: Sunday October 15 and 22
Venue: State Basketball Centre
Time: TBC

When: Sunday October 15 and 22
Venue: State Basketball Centre
Time: TBC
Further trials if required will be advised.
Note: Selections will be made at the end of each session to attend the following trial.

All athletes need to complete the national eligibility as part of Sports Inclusion Australia
