The Champions Cup is Basketball Victoria’s elite schools tournament. The tournament is for government, independent and private schools across all sporting associations, meaning the best of the best compete against each other regardless of their affiliations.
The winning school of the senior division senior division will go on to represent Victoria in the Australian Schools Championships in December.
It began with 33 teams for men and 14 teams for women competing in the qualifying day.
Eight teams advance to the Elite 8 stage for men and women which will be held this Thursday 24th August. Two teams will advance from Elite 8 to the State Finals for the men and Women (held on Sunday September 17th).
The winner from the men and women will receive the Victorian invitation to the National School Championships hosted by Basketball Australia in December 2023 .
