Victoria, Melbourne - Basketball Victoria is proud to announce Martin Ramos as the winner of the 2025 From the Sidelines photography competition for his image titled “A Hot Day.”
Ramos’ winning photograph highlights the emotion, passion and atmosphere of our sport, capturing a moment of a young athlete.
Renowned photographers Michelle Couling and Ian Knight praised the outstanding standard of entries submitted this year, noting the strength of storytelling and the creativity shown across the competition.
Basketball Victoria would like to all photographers who entered, as well as to our judges for their time and expertise.
As part of his prize, Martin will receive $1,000, and his winning image will be entered into the 2025 FIBA Photography Competition on behalf of Basketball Victoria. In addition, Martin will have the unique opportunity to shoot a 2025/26 NBL or WNBL game alongside award-winning photographer Michelle Couling, further advancing his craft.
