Basketball Victoria has announced the 2023 Junior Country Championships venues and dates!
After an incredible 2022 Junior Country Championships – with 300 boys and girls teams taking part in our tournaments – we’re excited to announce Red Energy Arena in Bendigo, Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium in Traralgon, Latrobe Leisure, Morwell as well as Selkirk Stadium in Ballarat will host our four JCC tournaments in 2023.
The 2023 JCC tournament calendar will run from February to April.
“It was fantastic to see all four Junior Country Championships tournaments back in action in 2022 and we’re excited to announce next year’s Junior Country Championships venues and dates,” Junior Country Championships Manager Matt Royal said. “We will continue to utilise the fantastic regional Victoria stadiums in Ballarat, Bendigo and Traralgon and give our junior country stars a chance to star in the biggest tournament of the season.
Further information regarding team registrations, fixtures and livestreams will be announced later this year in the lead up to the 2023 Junior Country Championships.
The Junior Country Championships are conducted yearly for the U12, U14, U16 and U18 age groups. Regional affiliated associations and Victorian athletes are accepted as events are held over multiple days in a round robin and knock out setting.
