Teams nominated compete to take the undisputed state title in their respective age divisions. For the Senior Division, the Champions Cup is also used as a qualifier for the Australian Schools Championships. Schools can nominate teams to compete in this elite tournament with only a select number of teams chosen to compete in the qualifying stage of Champions Cup. The tournament is conducted in a tiered round robin format. The top 8 teams from each age group at the qualifying day then advance to the Elite Eight round.
At the end of the Elite 8 stage, only 2 teams will remain from each division. These teams will then play off in the Champions Cup State finals. |
