The Whittlesea Pacers have announced the signing of American import Rob Diggs.
Standing at 6’8, Diggs played previously at George Washington University and then had a stint in the NBA D-League with the Dakota Wizards. The 25 year old most recently played professionally in Iceland where he averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds.
Diggs replaces Whittlesea’s original import Jabril Banks who was ruled out for the season with a knee injury.
Despite playing without an import for the majority of the season, Whittlesea has been playing some good hoops, Coach Ross Moll guiding them to a 8-2 record after 8 rounds. Diggs will certainly give the Pacers an inside presence, something that will put them in title contention.
The Pacers are expecting Diggs to suit up for their showdown with the Geelong Supercats this weekend.
