It was great to see the depth of Victorian talent as part of the officiating team, for the first two NBL Play-In Qualifier and Seeding Qualifier games, season 2023.
The scoretable and statisticians officiating at the South East Phoenix and Perth Wildcats game were all Victorian, who have taken the journey through the pathways, in order to officiate at the professional level.
On the table last night was:
- Simon Venn (Scoretable)
- Paul Morrissey (Scoretable)
- Vivian Hughes (Scoretable)
- Glenn Peach (Scoretable)
- Scott Samson (Scoretable)
- Alicia Vengust (Statistician)
- Cooper Aisen (Statistician)
- Jess Alford (Statistician)
Whilst on the court, across both games there was four Victorian referees as part of the officiating team for the two finals. We had Chris Reid, Michael Aylen and Ruben Woolcock being a part of the refereeing team at the South East Melbourne Phoenix and Perth Wildcats game, whilst Mitch Hare was one of the referees for the Cairns Taipans and Tasmanian Jackjumpers final.
Congratulations to the Victorian officials who were selected.
