Congratulations on the success of the East Coast Challenge event held in Penrith last week by all Victoria Metro athletes and coaches. As always, the ECC is a well-run event and a positive start to the Basketball Victoria Hight Performance Pathway year.
Victoria Metropolitan sent two teams in the Under 16 and Under 18 Women’s and Men’s pools to the tournament, which is all about playing meaningful games and testing yourself against the best, with no finals or results kept.
"Our x8 Victoria Metropolitan teams performed extremely well and experienced positive development and growth from the three days of high performance competition against NSW Metro, SA Metro and the ACT." - Grant Wallace - High Performance and Pathways GM.
"It is clear the great work being undertaken within our Hub’s State Development Program is paying dividends, with our improved skill level and basketball understanding being showcased".
Thanks to Basketball NSW in hosting and pulling it all together, particularly Brett Coxhedge for his leadership around the event for many years.
