Treseder's coaching career also included leading various teams and making a significant impact on their performance. During the 1990’s, he was head coach of the Bendigo Braves SEABL women, men, and junior teams, followed by stints coaching in the WNBL for Sydney and Perth. He also took charge of the Australian Wheelchair team, known as The Rollers, and guided them to an Olympic Silver medal in Athens in 2004.
In 2007, Treseder transitioned to British Wheelchair Basketball, where he quickly left his mark. Known for his straightforward approach and a strong commitment to developing young talent for the national squad, he achieved notable success. Under his leadership, the team claimed the Bronze medal at the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.
His coaching legacy of being passionate and determined to help athletes reach their potential will be missed and our condolences to his family.
Vale Murray Treseder.
