It is that time of year where we get to acknowledge and celebrate the hard and valuable work of members of the Victorian country basketball associations. The Basketball Victoria Annual Country Awards will be held in conjunction with the U12 Junior Country Championships during the week of 21- 23, April 2023.
We have created several new awards that will encourage young athletes and officials to continue to be part of our sport, whilst supporting their local association.
The 2023 Country Awards will continue tradition of the Jack Terrill Medal being awarded to the most outstanding individual in a country association.

Basketball Victoria's Country Manager, David Huxtable is excited about the awards this year, as the country associations have worked hard to rebound and grow their associations.
“After the past two years of disruption due to the pandemic and then this year saw the devastating floods- it is time to celebrate the resilience and dedication our country associations have." Huxtable says, “Celebrating associations and individuals is a way of acknowledging the sheer hard work and dedication that makes the country associations so successful as they continue to grow in participation and popularity.”
