Congratulations to the referees and referee coaches will officiate the Metro Under-12 Jamboree next week!
The Metro Jamboree is a pathway program for players, coaches and referees alike, designed to give our young and developing athletes and referees a chance to develop in a High Performance environment.
Held in the upcoming school holidays, the Under-12 Metro Jamboree gives athletes, coaches and referees an incredible opportunity to develop their skills in an elite environment across the four-day event.
“It’s exciting to see the next generation of referees get a chance to learn and develop at the Metro Jamboree,” General Manager - Technical Officials Jo Chu said. “Our referees at previous Jamborees – both in metropolitan Melbourne and country Victoria - have taken plenty away from this experience as for many of them, it’s the first time they’ll receive formal referee coaching from experienced officials outside their association and have a chance to apply their newly developed skills in practice with elite junior teams.
“We’d like to wish all of our Victorian referees and referee coaches the best of luck and hope they have a fantastic Metro Jamboree next week.”
The Metro Jamboree will be held from 4-7 July at Eagle Stadium, Werribee.
