JCC U16/U18 Division 1 & Division 2 Team Announcements

Basketball Victoria is excited to announce the list of teams that will compete in the 2025 Under-16 and Under-18 Division 1 and 2 tournament in Bendigo on February 15 and 16 at Red Energy Arena.

With an increase in nominations for 2025 the selection committee faced a difficult task to narrow down each age group to just 16 teams. “Selection is a difficult challenge with so many teams putting their hand up to be looked at for the Division 1 and 2 event. However, on the other hand seeing so many associations wanting to challenge Division 1 and 2 is fantastic.” Junior Country Championship (JCC) Manager Sarah Szczykulski said.

Participation in country tournaments are continuing to increase and this benefits teams come selection time as they get the chance to challenge teams near or above them in the initial seedings to show the selection committee they belong in the group of 16.

The JCCs are a highlight on the country tournament calendar and Basketball Victoria is excited to be able to host this tournament every year. The JCC’s give country associations the chance to showcase teams and battle against other associations from all over the state.
