The Coles Express NBL1 South fixture has been unveiled for season 2023.
The 2023 Season will tip-off on April 1, with some exciting feature rounds including ANZAC Round (April 21-25), Pink Round (May 12-14), Mental Health Round (June 16-18) and First Nations Round (5-9 July).
Every game of the Coles Express NBL1 South 2023 Season will be streamed live and free across Kayo Freebies, NBL1.com.au and the NBL1 App.
There are many jam-packed dates across the year which includes cross-town rivalry rounds and grand final re-matches in the 22 games for each team played over 14 rounds.
NBL1 South League Manager Alison Cody is happy about the prospect of having more basketball played in a newly condensed season.
“Season 2023 promises to deliver action packed games that will give the associations the chance to promote their game day experiences and bring in the crowds.”
“There is a big start to the season with 14 days of games across 24 days, and round 3 sees games played every day for a week culminating in an Anzac Day game.” Cody said.
NBL1 General Manager Dean Anglin said the exciting 2023 fixtures are a testament to the hard work state associations have put in behind the scenes. “After a complete season in 2022, including our inaugural Coles Express NBL1 National Finals, we are excited to announce the fixtures for the 2023 season,” he said.
“Our state partners and their clubs have been working hard to find ways to ensure the teams can gain maximum exposure in 2023 with games being played mid-week, on public holidays and throughout the school holidays. We hope fans will love the chance to watch their teams more throughout the year.”
