Teampay, the leading payments and game management platform for sports organisations, is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with Basketball Victoria (BV) for another year, extending a successful collaboration that began in 2021.
Trusted by over 120 basketball associations and clubs across Victoria, Teampay has become an essential tool for streamlining the game-day experience. The platform offers everything from seamless game fee payments directly through the Teampay app to advanced features, including automated forfeit management, reminder notifications for upcoming or missed games, and the handling of team bonds, fines, and tournament fees.
The platform's impact continues to grow, with a 27% year-over-year growth in BV usage and more than 1 million player payments processed across BV associations and clubs in 2024. Each week, over 1,100 Victorian Junior Basketball League teams rely on Teampay to manage their games efficiently.
In 2023, Teampay introduced the ‘Club Payments’ feature, enabling junior clubs to bulk pay for their teams' games via their dedicated Club dashboard. This innovation eliminates the need for traditional invoicing and manual reconciliation, helping associations get paid faster and simplifying financial administration for clubs.
“Teampay has been a proud partner of Basketball Victoria for several years and we are thrilled to extend our partnership,” said Andrew Roberts, Co-Founder at Teampay. “Since 2021, Teampay has helped associations, clubs, players, and parents revolutionise their game days, transforming game payments and making it easier than ever to manage a team." Neil Mackay, Chief Customer Officer at PlayHQ said "PlayHQ’s recent acquisition of Teampay marks a significant milestone for basketball and the broader sports community. As a long time partner of Basketball Victoria, PlayHQ has been committed to growing participation and engagement across the sport and we are excited to continue this mission through our Teampay & Basketball Victoria Partnership"
Sarah Addis, General Manager - Marketing, Communications and Digital at Basketball Victoria, added: "We're extremely excited to extend our Teampay partnership! Since our collaboration began, they've transformed payment processes across the Victorian basketball community. With significant growth and innovative features like 'Club Payments,' they continue making basketball more accessible and efficient for the BV family."
As the partnership continues into its fifth year, both Teampay and BV are committed to enhancing grassroots sports by delivering digital solutions that make sport more accessible, efficient, and enjoyable.
