2024 Junior Country Championships - U16/U18 DIV 1 and 2 Team Announcements

Basketball Victoria is thrilled to reveal the list of teams that will take part in the 2024 Under-16 and Under-18 Division 1 and 2 tournament. The event is scheduled to take place on February 17-18, 2024, at the Red Energy Arena in Bendigo. 

Outgoing Junior Country Championships Manager Matt Royal and the selection committee faced a daunting task in selecting teams for the upcoming event. With 77 teams nominated, the group was forced to narrow the field down to just 64 spots. "It's always a difficult decision-making process," Royal explained, "but we're thrilled to see such a growing interest in teams wanting to participate in the event." 

Increased participation in Country Tournaments benefits teams, says Royal. "This season, our associations have been able to participate in an incredible number of country tournaments, which has been fantastic. This has given our teams multiple opportunities to enhance their evidence submissions and increase their chances of being considered." 

Basketball Victoria is thrilled to host this tournament every year, providing our country associations with a platform to showcase their representative teams and skillsets. 2023, our event accumulated over 15,000 views of the live streamed games, indicating its growing popularity. We're excited to deliver another fantastic tournament next year.
